  • Hi Loretta
Saw you at Cordage park last week and left there feelong great about all the things you said.
Today I am feeling a little sorry for myself and expect any moment to snap out it.
My Mom was diagnosed 6 years ago with Alzheimers desease. She is currently in a nursing home coming into the last stages of this desease that is worst than death.
Most days I can deal with it but there are those days like today that I would like to run.
You mentioned that your Mom was also in a nursing home. Mom has gone through her entire lifes savings and never got a chance to enjoy that money.. if there is one thing I have learned form this experience is that you'd better live for today only. How can I get myself back on the right track to optimism and happiness as you described in the recent seminar?
    Thanks,. Barbara

  • Hello Barbara!
I'm glad you had the chance to come to the event at Cordage Park. While it is just about impossible for anyone to be happy 24 hrs a day, there are ways to get back on track when you are in the dumps. I would recommend a book by Martin Seligman called "Authentic Happiness." His research, which is driven by real science, teaches us to focus on the concept of positive emotions...it's very interesting research -- see if you can apply some of his suggestions and let me know how it goes...Best of luck to you! Loretta
