I started keeping track of you some years ago when I happened to be flicking through the channels and I just love you. I had never laughed so hard for I don't know how long. I had recently divorced at the time (about 10 yrs now). I recently came across a show where you mentioned the "It is what it is" phrase that I have come to abhor as I work for a company that has decided to put numbers on everything you do and that seems to be the key phrase from every supervisor of every department I have spent time in. I now work in "411" for cell phone users. I never would have believed that people call in without knowing the name of the doctor they have nor his street address and expect you to find it. It is a comedy show. It's 2010 and some people can't spell the city they live in (although that is a sad situation). They don't know what they're looking for or where it is and they expect me to find it!!! If because of a bad connection you ask someone to repeat what they said they call you a stupid ....... etc. and you just have to look at it as a comedy show. Although sometimes it does get to you. If you ask someone how they are spelling a name they respond "You're the operator you're suppose to know how to spell it." Which isn't true we rely on the customer to provide the spelling. Anyhow I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy watching you and how much better I feel when I do.

Hi Joan,
Thank you! I love how it feels to be able to make people really think about how funny the routine can be....You also just gave me some great new material. Truly funny that people would call 411 and have no idea who they are finding a number for. That's a good one!. WEll...It is what it is...LOL as you say.
Love Loretta
