  • I have seen you when you have come to this area before and I will be seeing you again on Oct. 16th at Proctors. I have your tapes and have loved you from the first time I saw you on P.B.S. But I have to tell you why I'm writing to you....The very first time I saw you years ago, on P.B.S. I called my husband into the room and said, "Who is this?" and he immediately said, "Aunt Vinny!" It is incredible how much you look and sound like her, especially when she was younger. She is now in her 90's and I believe her family came from the same area in Italy as yours did. (I'll bet you are somehow cousins....) Anyway, the reason I'm writing is to tell you that my dear Aunt Vinny has been such an inspiration to me. I only wish that I could age like her. She has had her share of health issues, but she is a fighter. Many, many years ago she had cancer,,,and just this past year ended up in a nursing home from a back injury. Needless to say, she did her therapy and is now back in her own home again. She loves to take her vitamins, (but I swear it's all that olive oil and garlic!) Talk about juicy!!!! She is one JUICY woman. She makes the BEST sauce I have EVER had!!! I absolutely LOVE this woman. Many years ago, my uncle lost his wife due to breast cancer, and he had a little boy, my dear cousin Johnny. A few years later he found and married, "Aunt Vinny". She embraced our family and raised little Johnny. When I heard that you were coming to Proctors, I quickly bought tickets to take Aunt Vinny to finally see you. Well, she ended up in the nursing home. I never thought she would see you. Anyway, that was last year, and the show was cancelled. In the meantime, Vinny got out of the nursing home!!! So Loretta, my dream of getting my dear Aunt Vinny to see you is finally coming true. We will be at Proctors Oct. 16th. Is there any possible way you could send a kiss to Vinny during the show? I know this is a long letter, and I apologize if I'm presumptuous, but hey...you'll never know if you don't at least ask. We have really good seats and we're not too far from the stage. Thank you for everything you do for ALL of us. In this CRAZY world we live in, we NEED laughter and positive energy. Keep doing your piece of the pie for mankind.
